What inspired you to work as a PT?

When I joined the Army, I quickly realised I had a passion for fitness when I could not only see and feel the benefits myself, but how it had an overall impact on everyone. Everyone’s mood would be lifted, it would bring us to life, we would be more efficient in our jobs and I loved how it brought us all together as a community.

Tell us a little bit about your coaching background?

It started in 2014 whilst still serving in the British Army, I got the chance to coach alongside other PT’s around 200+ soldiers. This would range from equipment carry’s, strength sessions, runs and annual tests. When I got to the 6th year serving I decided to leave and do this independently and became a Personal Trainer at one of the local gym’s in Newhaven, East Sussex. Since then I have developed a range of skills and knowledge within the PT sector and have never looked back!

What do you love about coaching women?

I love empowering women and seeing them smash their goals! Being a women can be tough at times and the daily challenges with work, children, time of the month, peri menopause and menopause, we feel like sometimes we just need a break! Getting just 30 minutes – 1 hour of exercise can make you feel like a brand new person. It’s so important to schedule some time out for you. It’s super rewarding for me to see the ladies leaving the class with smiles on their faces.

I love being a part of a clients fitness journey and seeing them progress, whether that be in terms of strength, weight loss, mental health or just building a healthy lifestyle.

Is there a particular exercise/fitness discipline that you like coaching the most?

I specialise in boxing and I always swear it is like therapy! Just a bit of you time to de-stress and have some serious fun whilst getting a spicy workout in. If you haven’t tried it! Get yourself booked on the ChickBoxing class!

When you’re not coaching what do you like to do?

Box, eat and spend every second I can with my dog Milo.

What is your mantra/ quote you live by?

It’s never too late to start!
